Dofus Playground - News Archive

Got in more updates for 2.4.0 (Enutrof, Sadida, Feca...). I also added damage calculation for several spells when wearing class set pieces, for example Natural Attack when wearing the Zinda Hood, or Mound with Cape Hernaum.

Additionally, a bug in the Drop Rate Calculator was causing it to ignore the Challenge bonus! This has been fixed.

Dofus Playground has received a facelift! (You may have noticed!)

I had to learn the ins and outs of Bootstrap (a CSS "framework" created by Twitter) for work... to do so, I applied it to Dofus Playground :P I still need to tweak some things, to make everything as fully pretty as it can be, but everything is functional at the least!

PERHAPS MORE EXCITING: I have finally updated some of the class sheets to reflect the changes in 2.4.0. Pandawa, Iop, and Ecaflip have been updated so far. Not all the sheets need updating, but a couple still do (such as Feca!) I'll try to get those updated this weekend.

The common wisdom is that Ecaflip's Luck, on average, breaks even, and so the best way to use it is for a 50/50 chance to avoid death (when you're down to your last few HP).

This is not true. Ecaflip's Luck actually works in the caster's favor, and using it just before death is in fact the worst use for the spell.

To prove this point - to myself, and others - I have created an Ecaflip's Luck simulator. You can find it in the "Other Tools" menu.

Today I ran my script to pull all the monster information from the Dofus wiki @wikia.com. The last time I did this was many months ago, before Vulkania was even released! So hopefully, now, the Monster Search is even more useful than before!

Enjoy :)

I've implemented a new "Fancy Build Calculator"! Find it in the "Calculators" menu.

It works similarly to the regular old Build Calculator, with a couple key differences:

  1. It allows you to compare two stat sets. Useful for comparing different equipment!

  2. It has a craaazier way of displaying the information to you. The spells are displayed as "cards" instead of arrayed in a simple table. You can hide a spell by clicking the "X" button in its upper-right (if it's not a spell you're interested in).

In the future, I'd like to put more information on these cards - including an element symbol, for easy recognition - and let people who log in save their characters, for easy access later.

Have fun!

Sorry about the delay, but I've finally updated the Osamodas, Sadida, and Eniripsa sheets to reflect the latest changes in 2.3.7. I also added The Sacrifical Doll to the Sadida sheet, since the damage it deals is very predictable. Theoretically, I could do this for the other summons as well, since their stats are based on your level... a project for another day :P

I hadn't been playing Dofus for a little while, which is why the calculators here have started to get a little out of date! But I'm back, and very excited about the upcoming class changes!

I've updated the Feca's Build Calculator, to correctly calculate damage prevention, and also removed Immunity, since it is no longer affected by any stat.

I know the damage prevention spells of other classes still need to be updated, and a few Ecaflip spells were also changed... I'll get Dofus Playground caught up with all this stuff as soon as possible.

Sorry again about the delay! I'm back into Dofus, though, so I should respond to future updates more quickly!

Have fun! :)

Behold! A brand new tool! Monster Search by Resistance.

This tool was inspired by a request on the official Dofus forums for a way to search the monsters on the wiki by elemental resistance. I implemented this on the wiki, however one of the wiki admins saw the addition as "superfluous" and undid my changes.

It's often been said that limits inspire creativity, however. Since the wiki administration would not accept this feature, I created it here, on Dofus Playground :) I wrote a handful of scripts to parse all the monster information from the wiki and store it in the Dofus Playground's database, and wrote a quick tool to search it with, available for all.

I hope you find it useful. This is only the first release, so it may contain some bugs or misinformation - use with care - but I'll definitely be on the lookout for possible improvements.

Cra sheet has at last been updated! Sorry it took me a while - I got a new job recently, and it's been keeping me quite busy.

I also added the critical hit information for the Rogue's Boomerang Daggers, because it's so bizarre, and linked all Rogue spell names to the dofus wiki.

I'm also working on something entirely new for Dofus Playground... I don't want to spoil it, so you'll just have to wait and see :)

Masqueraiders!

We have "ao" to thank yet again! He provided me a video capture of all the spell info for all the Masqueraider spells!

We're actually a little ahead of the Dofus wiki this time: at the time of this writing, the Dofus wiki doesn't yet contain all the spell data! Hohohoho! :P

After looking at the spell details, I'm personally really excited about the Masqueraiders. They have a lot of fun pushing and pulling spells, and other interesting mechanics going on... unfortunately, I refuse to pay for early access to the class, so I'll have to wait a while.

Ah well: for those of you already playing with Masqueraiders, I hope the calculator here can help you out :) Have fun!
